  The Bismarck Tribune, North Dakota, 21 November 2009 NEW SALEM — Noreen Willman, 86, New Salem, died Nov. 17, 2009, at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with the Rev. VanVechten Crane officiating. Burial will be in Almont Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and will continue after 9 a.m. Monday until the time of service. Noreen was born Feb. 24, 1923, at Almont, the daughter of Joseph H. and Roselle (Hendrickson) Olson. She married Edward Willman and they made their home in Almont until moving to Bismarck in 1988. Edward died in 1991. Noreen loved gardening. She also played the piano by ear. Family and friends were of the utmost importance to her. Noreen was a very caring and helpful woman who always put the needs of others before her own. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynell and Vern Ackerman, Eagan, Minn.; her son, Jerry, New Salem; four grandchildren, Lisa and Kristen Ackerman and Jason and Justine Willman; one great-grandchild, Brenden Willman; her sister, Shirley Fitterer, Tacoma, Wash., Beverly Ringham, Bismarck, and Marilyn Bondeson, Mandan. Noreen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, her daughter, Corlys Willman; her brother, Duane; and her sister, Joyce Olson.
