{geni:about_me} Inga Marie says - My Grandfather liked us grandchildren we knew, because he always gave us something good to eat when he came from the store.
I remember my Grandfather always carried green dried peas in his pockets. When he come up from the store to the house, the pigeons would come sit on his head and shoulders. Then he would grab the peas from his pockets, and feedthen from his hands.
My Grandpa could read, but he could not do arthmetic on paper. He sat by the laywer, and figured everything out in his head. No one ever dared cheat him in any way. He was a very strict businessman and really prospered. He was handsome with a long beard, and always smiling.
Grandpa often built coffins, since the graveyard was so close by, and he used the attic for this particular work.
Grandpa passed away when I was three.
