Spring Grove Herald - 9 May 1907 - Aad K. Lee an old resident of this city for about 26 years and an old settler of this county died Thursday May 2, 1907 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Chas Peterson of Waukon, Iowa, where he had gone about two months ago to make his home. Deceased has not been feeling well for about two years and during this time he has had three strokes of paralysis, the last one causing his death.
He is survived by a wife and two children, namely Mrs. Chas. Peterson and Knute A. Lee and four brothers and four sisters who have the sympathy of the whole community in their hour of deep distress. His remains arrived here Friday evening from Waukon and interment was made in the West End Cemetery, Rev. Reque officiated.
Mr. Lee was born April 29, 1848 in Sogn, Norway. He came to this county in 1854 when a boy of six years, with his parents, locating in Minnesota and later in this county whre he grew to manhood. About 33 years ago he was married to Miss Hannah Severson and to this happy union three children were born, two of whom are living. Mr. Lee was a resident of this village 26 years, with the exception of a short time he was out west and had many warm friends here and in the surrounding country.
