    • Per. G.E. 11/11/2004 - Brita Kjellsdtr, Elling Olsen Winjum's wife was a daughter of Kjell Larsen Winjum's second marriage to Kari Olsdtr. Otterness (Winjum #110 with Brita #110j).

Brita Kjellsdtr Winjum came in 1867 to America with her sister Martha Marie Winjum (#100) who was later married to Ole Knudsen Wangen in the Albert Lea, MN area (actually, probably in the Clark's Grove area as they were members of the Lutheran Church there, southeast of the town). These Winjum families in Albert Lea area started the Winjum-Bell reunions at Albert Lea of which so many of the Black Hammer people came up for--Otterness, Winjum and Veum. Brita Kjellsdtr and Elling Olsen Winjum were first cousins and there was a close family connection here and customary for cousins to marry that close which they did. Elling is probably buried as Elling Olsen in the Spring Grove cemetery -- which one, not sure. Brita, after her husband's death was conveyed back to family in Albert Lea by her family members in the Albert Lea area of which there were many and which could care for her. She is probably buried at the Clark's Grove rural Lutheran Church along with her siblings there.
