Dr. Anderson died from pneumonia. One daughter and three sons were born to them. He founded the Scandinavian department of the University of Wisconsin, published 60 books and pamplets which was __________Scandinavian history, also served as minister to Denmark, founded and published a weekly newspaper and headed two corporations during his career. In 1874, he published a history entitled "America Not Discovered by Columbus," being the first proponent of the claim that Leif Erickson discovered North America.
