Anton Emil Holm was known as Uncle Tony to his nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and great-grand-nieces and nephews in America. He lived in Prairie County, Montana, USA from 1913 through the 1930s. He worked as a farm hand during that time. In the 1940s he moved to Poulsbo, Washington, where he remained for the rest of his life. In Poulsbo he worked for a lumber company. He liked Poulsbo because it reminded him of Norway with water, high hills and evergreen trees everywhere. He loved to fish and the waters of the Puget Sound offered him lots of fishing opportunities. I attended his funeral and was blessed to have known his gentle humor and his kind character.
