{geni:about_me} Søren Wilhelm Thorne (born May 29, 1804 Drammen, died 17 April 1878 in Kongsberg, Norway) was a Norwegian priest and politician. He finished school at Drammen Latin School in 1823, and was cand. theol. from the University of Christiania from 1829. For two years he was part-time teacher at Drammen Latin School before he became parish priest in Håland parish in 1831. He was the vicar of Leikanger 1840-1848 and 1848-1857 in Kongsberg. Thorne was a member of Kongsberg City Council and the Settlement Commissioner. He was elected Member of Parliament from Kongsberg 1854-1861. He was the brother of the timber merchant Johan Fredrik Thorne and industrialist Christian August Thorne and uncle to John Thorne.

{geni:about_me} Sophie Hartmann was the chairman of Kongsberg Handicrafts Association (Kongsberg Ladies Association) from 1889 and for 42 years. In association, she made great efforts in social areas and got for his efforts the King's Medal of Merit in gold.

She was chairman of the board of Kongsberg woman, where she later became an honorary member for his efforts.
She was in the Church Authority and parish councils and she was a member of the council and the presidency for 15 years.
She was the first woman in Kongsberg, city council, it happened in 1901.
